Do alerts work when the app is closed?
Yes. Alerts are evaluated on our servers against a live price feed rather than on your phone, typically firing about a second after the price is hit, so the app can be fully closed or even force-quit and alerts still arrive as push notifications. Your phone only needs to be able to receive a notification — which also means the app isn't sitting in the background draining your battery.

Crypto, US stocks, metals and commodities including gold, silver, oil and copper, and major currency pairs. All of them live in one watchlist, so you can hold Bitcoin next to gold and the dollar — which is the only way the relationships between them become visible rather than something you infer across four apps.

Does it need access to my wallet or exchange account?
No. Watching a price does not require an exchange key, a wallet connection or a payment method, so the app never asks for one. There is no private key, no recovery phrase and no API key anywhere in it, and therefore no technical ability to move your funds — a property of how it is built, not a promise about how it behaves.
What percentage should I set a crypto alert to?
Work from how the coin actually moves rather than a round number. Bitcoin's typical daily move and the share of days that exceeded each threshold are both on the crypto price alerts page, recomputed hourly from a year of real closes. A 1% alert fires most days and teaches you to ignore it; the threshold that fires a few times a month is the one you still open. Altcoins need a wider setting than Bitcoin.
Can I get alerts by SMS, Discord or email?
Email, yes: switch on email alerts in the app's notification settings and every alert that fires also arrives in your confirmed inbox, alongside push notifications and Telegram — all free, with the choice of a loud alarm tone for the alerts that matter. SMS, Discord and webhooks are not supported — SMS in particular is filtered aggressively by US and Canadian carriers, which is the opposite of what an alert needs to be. If one of those is essential to you, say so and it will inform what gets built next.
What happens if my alerts stop arriving?
The app tells you, which is unusual in this category. It checks the whole delivery chain — notification permission, whether this device is still registered with our servers, whether Android battery saver is holding notifications back, and whether quiet hours are muting them — and names the broken link with a one-tap fix. You can also see the exact second our servers last checked your alerts.
Will alerts wake me up at night?
Only if you want them to. Crypto trades around the clock and its largest moves often land overnight, so quiet hours let you set a window where alerts are delivered silently and recorded in your activity list. Nothing is lost — you see it in the morning instead of at 4am.
What makes it different from my exchange's built-in alerts?
